What is Financiography?
Financiography is a financial autobiography: a connected record of the who, why, what, where and how behind every movement of your money.
Mr.Fin is a privacy-first personal finance app built around that idea: recording not just where your money goes, but who it involved, why it moved, how it was paid, and what it left behind. You do not need to connect a bank. The app is designed to work offline, with your data staying on your device unless you choose otherwise.

Who, why, what, where, and how
A typical expense tracker answers “how much?” Financiography also answers the questions that turn a number into a financial history.
Who?
Who paid, who received, who owes, who is owed, and who participated.
Why?
The purpose, category, or event the money moved for.
What it created?
What it left behind: a debt, a receivable, a payable, or a shared cost.
Where?
Where the financial event happened, when it belongs in your history.
With whom?
Which people or organizations were involved in the transaction.
How?
The account it moved through (bank, wallet, credit card, cash) and the payment mode (UPI, card, cash and more).

Financiography is the direction of the product, not a claim that every layer already exists. Expense tracking, parties, debts, shared expenses, accounts, budgets, and offline use are in the app today.
Events as a higher-level layer, formal loan management, and deeper asset and liability modelling remain on the roadmap. The record you keep now is meant to grow into that history.
